Specialist Lift Systems

	1. Concept The process starts with an idea.
Initially customers may only have outline requirements of the planned lift. Often the goods need to be moved within a hazardous environment, or the payload is unusually large. Frequently unique aesthetics are needed to fit in with an overall building concept or the lift requires special user features.

	2. Project Development
From the outset Pickerings' in-house experts and the clients' professional design team work together to develop the concept. Close co-operation ensures that every aspect of the transportation problem is fully explored, understood and clarified.

	3. Design Expertise
Pickerings Lifts has Notified Body approval to Level D1 for conceptual design under the European Lift Directive. Our design team take the information established during the development stage and, using the latest design technology, bring the project to life.

	4. Manufacturing
Lifts are manufactured at our UK manufacturing facility at Stockton-on-Tees. Exacting quality control systems help ensure consistently high manufacturing standards. High quality, robustness and rigidity combined with technologically advanced components are the hallmarks of a Pickerings Lift.

	5. Completion and Commissioning
Installation, commissioning and testing is carried out by Pickerings' own staff and meets all relevant National regulatory requirements. Long term support is assured through Pickerings Lifts' network of service engineers which provides a full range of maintenance services.
